Maven Cowork Ltd provides a flexible, shared office space for individuals or small teams seeking a professional business environment. Maven is committed to providing you with an inclusive and respectful environment. A safe space where we care, we share and we get stuff done. Sure we are created with women in mind, but we are not exclusively female, everyone is welcome. You can read more about our values by clicking here and reading our Maven Manifesto.
By joining Maven as a member (both IRL and URL), by booking a meeting room or by hiring our space you agree to accept the following Terms and Conditions.
Location & Access
Maven’s Co-working space and facilities are located in the city centre of Winchester at 6 Walcote Place, Winchester, SO23 9AP.
Maven co-working members and pay as you go passes entitle you to use Maven’s co-working space and facilities during the published opening hours only. Opening Hours as of 20th April 2021 are below:
The availability of Maven’s workspace area is subject to sufficient space being free to accommodate those members wishing to have access at any one time.
Maven has the right to determine appropriate capacity levels to ensure all members receive an optimum experience.
You may invite guests to visit Maven provided you have made a request to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure this doesn’t effect capacity levels on the date of their visit.
You are responsible for any guests in line with the Terms and Conditions mentioned here and a charge may be made to guests who use our facilities whilst at Maven. This must be settled in advance.
Access is made available to you on a reasonable endeavours basis. Should access our any facilities be unavailable, Maven will endeavour to provide reasonable notice although this may not always be possible. Where possible, and at Maven’s sole discretion, Maven will make alternative arrangements.
Membership Fees are due monthly in advance and payable by a rolling subscription method through the card details provided.
You may cancel your membership at any time, and the 4 week notice period will be enacted. Membership ceases contemporaneously with a monthly payment not being made.
Maven may cancel your membership at any time without notice if you breach Maven’s Terms & Conditions of Membership.
Your Maven Membership (both in person and/or virtual) is personal to you and cannot be shared or transferred. Maven is not obliged to refund any amount for a period when the membership is unused except if Maven elects to terminate a membership for any reason.
No relationship of landlord and tenant exists between Maven and you. Maven is not the owner of the premises that are made available for your use, and you should follow any directions or instructions provided to you by Maven on behalf of the owner of the premises.
Facilities and equipment provided within Maven are intended for use by members and guests whilst in Maven and may not be removed for use outside of Maven.
As a Maven Member we may send you email correspondence regarding your membership, facilities at Maven and other announcements like Maven events. We will never share your email address with third parties.

Care of our Space
You are responsible for keeping you work area for the day clean, tidy and in a good state of repair. You are not responsible for general wear and tear. In line with Covid-19 guidelines, please use the cleaning equipment provided to clean your space at the end of the working day.
You are not permitted to make any changes to the space. If you do move furniture / items when using our space for work or hire please ensure everything is carefully returned to it’s original location.
Maven is not a fully managed workspace, therefore on occasion when co-working or hiring the space you will find yourself being solely responsible for ensuring the property is securely locked, with all internal lights, heating and electrical equipment off as per the instructions left on the premises.
You may be held liable (and, as a result of this, authorise us to charge you) for the repair cost for all damage to our premise and items therein cause by you or your guests, or where permitted, pets.
Intellectual Property of Others
You must not, directly, or indirectly take, copy or use any information or intellectual property belonging to other members or members companies of any of their guests.
Including without limitation, personal names, likenesses, voices, business names, trademarks, service marks, logos, trade dress, other identifiers or other intellectual property, or modified or altered versions of the same.
Failure to Comply
If Maven requires you to rectify any failure to comply with your obligations, you must comply with our requirements immediately in case of an emergency.
You must promptly notify us of any defect or disrepair in your desk space or facilities in any of our services provided.
You confirm that any personal data supplied to Maven has and in future will have the informed consent of the relevant person.
Both Maven and you will treat the financial terms of this agreement as confidential and will not disclose them to others apart from our legal and financial advisors.
Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999
Nothing in this Agreement creates any rights benefiting any person under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Membership of the Maven Community
By agreeing to use these Terms and Conditions, you become a member of the Maven community. If it is part of your Membership Plan, you may use the Maven address but may not represent that this is in your ownership.
Access to computer networks and the internet is provided for the lawful use of members and their guests and not for any activity which in Maven’s sole opinion is illegal, immoral, indecent, or detrimental to the enjoyment of other members or guests.
We reserve the right to monitor your usage of Maven at any time, including your use of computer networks and the internet which may included the use of CCTV in and/or around Maven’s location.
You are responsible for securing your own computer data and protecting yourself from the impact of computer viruses, malware and malicious software. You must also take reasonable steps to safeguard Maven, other members and guests from the impact of computer viruses, malware and malicious software.
In the event that Maven experiences any issues with the provision of internet service (whether temporary suspension or otherwise) Maven will not accept any liability or be held responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever which may impact a member or guest.
Meeting Pod / Maven Mezzanine / Hideaway/Hire of Maven
Members; Meeting pod, Mezzanine, Hideaway and Hire of Maven bookings can be made on a first come first served basis and chargeable at the rate applied to your Membership package. These spaces cannot be booked as an alternative to a workspace, All guests using the spaces must be booked in and signed in.
Any spaces still unoccupied after 15 minutes from the start time of the booking will be released for others to use.
Members are expected to wipe down any surfaces after use (following our Covid 19 guidelines) so they are in a clean and usable condition for the next booking.
Non Members; Meeting pod, Mezzanine, Hideaway and Hire of Maven bookings are payable in advance and non-refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of the start time.
All guests using the meeting spaces/attending the space when it’s hired should be signed in.
Any hired space still unoccupied after 15 minutes from the start of the booking will be released for others to use.
Non-Members are expected to wipe down any surfaces after use (following our Covid 19 guidelines) so they are in a clean and usable condition for the next booking. Please also leave any furniture items or accessories back in the same place as found.
Should your membership/hire require a security deposit, Maven will acknowledge receipt of the Deposit from you which we will hold as security for the performance of these Terms and Conditions.
If any money is overdue or you have not complied with these Terms and Conditions either during the term or at the end of the term, we may use the deposit.
You will not earn interest on the deposit. The deposit will be repaid to you after a reasonable period for any settlement of the claims after the Term ends and prior to repayment, we will be entitled to use the Deposit to pay all outstanding sums due to Us, including those needed to put right any failure by You to perform these Terms and Conditions.
Safety and Security
For the security and safety of all members, any entry cards, access codes or keys which we let you use remain our property at all times. You must not make any copies of them, or allow anyone else to use them without our consent. Any loss must be reported to us immediately, and you must pay the cost of replacements and the changing of the locks if required.
Maven accepts no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to property brought into Maven, except where Maven’s responsibility or liability is determined by English Law. Maven’s insurance policy does not cover or include loss, damage or theft of your personal items.
Maven accepts no liability or responsibility for injury or death of members or their guests except where Maven’s responsibility or liability is determined by English Law.
In the event of a misunderstanding or dispute with regards to the meaning of these Terms & Conditions, you are bound by Maven’s interpretation.
English Law applies with respect to these Terms and Conditions as does the decision of the English courts in any dispute that may occur between you and Maven.
Maven’s maximum liability to you is limited to membership fees already paid unless otherwise determined by English Law.
Our desks have been carefully spaced out to ensure at least 2m distance when you are seated. Our face to face seating areas have been replaced with back to back or side to side seating.
Between each desk you’ll find some arty shielding, in keeping with our design theme of course. Be it a plant, a curtain or a screen, it’s there to keep you safe.
Arrival and departure
If you arrive at the same time as others, please wait in line outside, keeping 2m distance. Once the person ahead of you has entered, you can proceed into Maven. On entry you’ll see the NHS Track and trace app, please check in and use the hand sanitiser provided.
As when attending a restaurant, please wear your mask on entry to Maven and when moving around inside to make refreshments or visit the toilet. Once sat at your desk you can remove your mask, but keep it to hand.
Each desk has it’s own Hygiene box containing a facemask, handwash, wipes and anti bac spray for your table. Please use these frequently throughout the day and clean down when you leave.
We’ll clean the communal facilities i.e WC and refreshment area regularly throughout the day. A thorough clean will take place after and before each co-working session. Handwash will be available at every communal point; upon entry, refreshment area, break out area and WC. Please use these both before and after you use a communal space.
Are you feeling unwell?
Please cancel or re-schedule your session if you, anyone in your household or support bubble feel unwell and/or have symptoms of Coronavirus (which include but are not limited to; a high temperature of over 37.8, new continuous cough or loss of change to your sense of smell and taste).
Masterclasses, Mixers and In Person Training Sessions
We’ve taken our events online, but from time to time are still able to carry out small in person training session, by following Covid-19 safe guidelines. In person sessions will have no more than 6 attendees and the desks will be spaced to ensure we meet social distancing guidelines. When attending an in person session please ensure you adhere to social distancing rules. Wear your mask whilst moving around and even whilst seated at your desk if you prefer. Keep your Sanitiser box close to ensure frequent cleaning of surfaces and hand washing. And remember if you feel unwell, if any of your family have symptoms or if you think you may have been in contact with a Covid-19 carrier then please don’t attend the training. We will always offer a credit if you have to cancel at short notice.
